About Dave

5x7_-_JCC17944-Pasti__David_N._-.jpgDave Pasti, a resident of Derwood, is a graduate of Wootton high school in Montgomery county, University of Maryland, and California western school of law in San Diego.

Dave has been practicing law since 1989, with a focus on criminal defense, family law, juvenile defense, personal injury, and civil litigation. Dave has distinguished himself as a skilled negotiator, and in 1998, combined his legal skills and his passion for sports to include agent representation of baseball player as part of his practice. As such, Dave has established a reputation as a quality baseball agent who places a high value on integrity and trust. His professional approach has also caught the attention of the local papers and television news. In May 2002, he appeared on the cover of the Washington Post Magazine in a story entitled, “The Agent – What happens when you risk everything to follow your dream?”

Dave represents several professional baseball players and is a Certified Major League Baseball Agent. Dave has also served as an advisor to college and high school players in the annual baseball draft since 1999. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association, and is a member of the Christian Legal Society. Dave is committed to his faith, family, and his clients. He has been happily married to his wife Marie for 25 years, and they are proud parents of 3 boys, Jonathan, Michael, and Sammy.

Volunteer Activities

1989-1990 – Youth At Risk program in Washington D.C.- committed to mentor a “youth-at-risk” for one year; commitment included weekly contact and monthly meetings with the group of mentors;

1990-1992 – Boys and Girls Club, Rockville Maryland. Weekly meetings with youth to plan events- community service; fundraising events – included distributing hundreds of coupons door to door for free bowling to raise money for the Club;

2001-2011 – Basketball Coach – Youth grades 1-6 for middle son; grades 1-6 for youngest son; baseball coach for oldest son in 2004, and youngest son in 2008.

2005, 2009-2011 – participated in Short-Term Missions trip to Fairmont WV to repair homes with other members of our church; our boys also went from 2005-2011; and our whole family went in 2011.

2013-2015 - Leader of Short-Term Missions Trip to Fairmont WV to repair homes with other members of our church; our whole family went in 2013.

2013-2017 - Sunday School Teacher – Modern Day Knights; When Helping Hurts, Fight Your Way to a Better Marriage – co-lead marriage class with my wife.

Other Leadership Activities

1990 – Professionalism and Quality of Life Committee.

2013-2015 Lawyer to Lawyer Committee – offered assistance to lawyers who were struggling either mentally, emotionally, physically or financially;

1992-2003, 2013-Present - Christian Legal Society – attended annual conferences; bible studies for attorneys.

1996-2003-Sports Lawyers Association – attended annual conferences; spoke on a panel entitled “Breaking into the Sports Industry”

1999-2002, 2009-2015 Mont.Cty. FCA Board of Directors, Character Coach 2014; Parent Volunteer for Huddle at Shady Grove Middle School 2008

2013-2016 - Good Samaritans Advocates – monthly legal clinics.

2016-2018 - Co-Leader of monthly Legal Clinics at the Clarksburg Jail.
